Actress Liza Soberano did not hold back her frustration over what she described as the government’s failure and corruption amid the devastation brought by Typhoon Tino and Typhoon Uwan, which have claimed more than a hundred lives and left hundreds missing.

In a series of Instagram Stories, the actress first shared a satellite image of the Philippines nearly covered by the storm, with the message: “Please keep the Philippines in your prayers.”
She later followed it with emergency hotlines and a reminder for the public to stay alert during calamities: “I know no amount of asking people to please stay safe and prepare anyone for natural disasters, but let’s all try to stay informed and spread the word on best safety and emergency practices.”
But it was her next post that captured widespread attention. Deeply angered by the tragic videos of flooding and loss, Liza directed strong words toward corrupt public officials: “#typhoontinoph #uwanPH are another very expensive reminder of how the Filipino people constantly suffer at the hands of our disgusting government officials,” she wrote.
“WHO IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE LIVES THAT WERE TAKEN BY YOUR GREED AND CORRUPTION?”
The Lisa Frankenstein star went on to question the billions allegedly allocated for flood control projects over the past three years: “NEVER FORGET ₱545 BILLION has gone into flood control projects for the past 3 years. WHERE IS THE CONTROL AND INFRASTRUCTURE????”
She concluded her statement with a powerful accusation: “YOU HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS!”
In her final Instagram Story, Liza reshared a post reminding the public not to abandon their pets during disasters — a call for compassion amid tragedy.
