Boracay’s festive season officially began as Mandarin Bay Resort & Spa Boracay lit up its signature giant Christmas tree—now a beloved annual tradition that brings together guests, locals, and partners to celebrate the island’s warm tropical Christmas spirit.

Held on November 27, the ceremony was led by the Po family, immediately followed by ‘Masks and Lights: Appreciation Night,’ a glamorous gathering honoring the relationships and achievements that shaped Mandarin Premier Hotels and Resorts Group throughout the year.
The three-day celebration welcomed partners from Manila and across Asia, culminating in the main event at the newly opened Mandarin Bay Convention Center. The evening highlighted the Group’s commitment to making Boracay a joyful sanctuary—one where families, couples, and travelers can craft unforgettable moments.
This year also marked the Group’s third annual Christmas Tree Lighting, symbolizing their dedication to creating magical holiday experiences for guests year after year.
Despite ongoing economic challenges in the country, Managing Director Lily Po delivered an uplifting message filled with gratitude and optimism.
“Thank you so much for being here and for continuing to work with us despite the challenges happening in our country. Our economy is affected, but with God’s guidance and provisions, everything will get better. We just have to pray about it, and surely, we will get through all of this together, through thick and thin.”
She also expressed deep appreciation for Mandarin Premier’s partners, emphasizing the Group’s commitment to exceptional hospitality: “Thank you for taking your precious time to be with us today. We truly value your partnership, and we assure you that we will continue doing our very best to provide exceptional service so your clients—our guests—can create unforgettable experiences and cherished memories to take home. And of course, so they will book again with you.”
She concluded with a warm holiday greeting: “Finally, I would like to greet everyone an advanced Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year 2026. I am praying for everyone’s good health and for all the best in life.”

The event also coincided with the 18th anniversary of Mandarin Premier, a hospitality brand built on the vision and leadership of brothers Robert Po, Peter Po, and Eddie Po—the latter also spearheading the design and construction of the new Mandarin Bay Resort and Spa, a showcase of luxury and intentional architecture.
Adding to the festive mood, ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ Duets semi-finalist Eric Selino serenaded guests, delivering soulful performances that matched the evening’s atmosphere of warmth and celebration.

More than just a beach destination, Boracay has become a go-to location for Filipinos and international travelers seeking a “white sand Christmas.”
