mWell, the Philippines’ fully integrated health and wellness mega app, continues to break barriers in healthcare access with the official launch of its digital health services in Palawan’s 1st District. In partnership with Mayor Norbert Salvame Lim of the Municipality of Taytay and Congresswoman Rosalie “Mommy Rose” Salvame, the initiative empowers island communities through technology and compassion, turning the vision of universal healthcare into reality.

Over a three-day rollout, the fully integrated healthcare ecosystem introduced health kiosks for virtual doctor consultations and a digital Local Government Unit (LGU) App to help Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) collect and manage data. It also unveiled the mWell Health ID which allows residents to store and access their medical records securely. Designed as a digital passport, the Health ID contains personal health records, lab results, prescriptions, vaccination records, emergency contacts, and other vital health information. These tools ensure that healthcare is just a tap away, even in the most remote barangays.
“This project reflects what we stand for, ensuring that every Filipino, even in the farthest island, can reach a doctor when they need one,” said Chaye Cabal-Revilla, President and CEO of mWell and Chief Finance, Risk, and Sustainability Officer of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation. “Palawan represents the strength and resilience of the communities we aim to serve. Through mWell, we are proving that world-class healthcare can reach them wherever they are. This is how we build a nation where care truly knows no boundaries.”

For local leaders, this launch marks real change for the people of Taytay. “With mWell now in our district, families who once had to travel far just to see a doctor can now consult online. Our health workers can deliver services more efficiently, and our communities can finally experience the kind of healthcare they deserve,” said Mayor Norbert Salvame Lim. “This partnership shows what happens when innovation is driven by compassion. We are bringing hope and healing to our people.”

Tisha Quinitio, Head of Government and Communities of mWell, said the Palawan project brings mWell’s purpose to life by ensuring that digital healthcare is not just available, but truly impactful for local families. “Our goal is to make healthcare part of daily life, not something people have to travel or wait for,” she said. “Here in Palawan, we’re showing what that future looks like: local health workers empowered by data, families connected to doctors at a touch, and communities supported by a system that never stops caring.”
The launch of mWell in Palawan’s 1st District, particularly Taytay, demonstrates how public-private partnerships founded on compassion, innovation, and shared purpose can transform lives. It is a model for how technology can bridge distance, empower local health frontliners, and bring world-class healthcare within reach of every Taytayano.
As mWell continues to expand across the country, its mission remains clear: to be the trusted ally of every Filipino in living well, staying well, and being well anytime, anywhere. It has partnered with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to explore the integration of healthcare services into the government’s eGov PH App. This collaboration aims to create the country’s first national digital health integration within a government platform, enabling millions of Filipinos to gain direct access to doctors, health records, and essential services.
