Singapore’s musical sweetheart Regina Song returns with EP the gates, a final embrace of melancholy before she steps into her next chapter. Consisting of her 2025 singles ‘Fairy’, ‘Love me again’, ‘Before i leave’, and new single ‘Midsummer Mansion’, the gates is a bittersweet prelude to her sophomore album that will be launched in early 2026.
‘Midsummer Mansion’ represents an imaginary mansion within Regina’s literary world, a song written about the abandoned hopes and dreams of a couple in a long distance relationship. The countless dreams of sharing a home and living together are stored in this mansion, one that can only be revisited a flight away from each other. A relationship so strong yet hanging by a thread, one that knows its ending will haunt them both like a haunted mansion – “I’ll see you next vacation if we even make it / till then I’ll be saying I miss you”.
This EP reflects Regina’s struggle to keep believing in the sweet paradox called love. It grew harder to remember the girl she once was – a true fangirl of love. She tried to keep showing the cheerful side of herself that everyone seemed to adore, but somewhere along the way, she drifted too far from that version of her. Pretending to be that girl began to feel untrue. Yet, Regina knows that part of her still lives within – quietly waiting to be revived.

She has also opened for Filipino-Australian singer grentperez and British-Canadian singer Matt Maltese.
In January 2025, Regina embarked on her first-ever Southeast tour, performing in cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta and Manila, where every show was sold out. She has also performed at renowned music festivals such as Wanderland Festival and Lalala Festival.
