Comedian-host Vice Ganda voiced his disappointment over the outcome of Miss Universe 2025, expressing frustration online after Mexico’s Fatima Bosch was crowned the winner during the coronation held in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

On X (formerly Twitter), the It’s Showtime host posted back-to-back reactions as the results were announced.
“Hanggang sa Miss Universe ninakawan nyo ang Pilipinas! Grabe!!! #MissUniverse2025” Vice wrote in one tweet.
In another, he added: “Unacceptable!!!!! #MissUniverse2025.”
Vice’s posts quickly went viral, with many Filipino pageant fans sharing the same sentiments. Several netizens questioned the final ranking, pointing out that the strongest performers ended up at the bottom of the Top 5.
Others noted that while they were frustrated, they still applauded Miss Philippines Ahtisa Manalo for her performance.
Despite criticizing the outcome, Vice congratulated Ahtisa for delivering a strong performance.
“Philippines let us all CONGRATULATE Ahtisa Manalo!!! She worked hard, performed well and WON it!!!!” Vice said.
Vice Ganda is currently in Rome but still woke up early to support the Philippines’ bet.
“2am now here in Rome. Gumising ng maaga to support Ahtisa Manalo as she represents the God forsaken country the Philippiiiiiiiiiines in Miss Universe!” he tweeted.
Fans playfully teased Vice for struggling to find a livestream while abroad.
“Nubato ang chachaka ng mga link na pinapanoodan ko ng Miss U! Puro may takip! Heeeelllllllllpppp! San ako magwatch online?” Vice complained.
Netizens jokingly pointed him to ABS-CBN’s own platform.
Vice also praised Ahtisa’s swimsuit round performance: “That was a perfect swimsuit performance Ahtisa!”
Fatima Bosch of Mexico won the Miss Universe 2025 crown, followed by Thailand’s Praveenar Singh (1st runner-up), Venezuela’s Stephany Abasali (2nd runner-up), the Philippines’ Ahtisa Manalo (3rd runner-up), and Côte d’Ivoire’s Olivia Yacé (4th runner-up).
Manalo returned the Philippines to the Miss Universe Top 5 for the first time since 2021.
The 74th edition of the pageant faced intense controversy. Two judges resigned days before the finals, including Omar Harfouch, who cited “irregularities” in the selection process. Thai pageant director Nawat Itsaragrisil also clashed with several candidates early in the competition, including Bosch.
The Miss Universe Organization has yet to address fresh allegations circulating online following the coronation.
