Former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson once again addressed the persistent rumors linking him to Kapuso actress Jillian Ward, this time with a mix of denial and humor.

Singson spoke about the issue during his guest appearance on ‘The Men’s Room’ podcast, hosted by Stanley Chi and Janno Gibbs. When asked if he had ever personally met Jillian, the businessman-politician was quick to clarify.
“Hindi. Sa awa ng Diyos, hindi pa,” he said, before adding with a chuckle, “Hindi pa. Sana nga.”
Despite the joking tone, Singson reiterated that there is no truth to the alleged “special relationship” between them. The rumors, which first surfaced online months ago, claimed that he was supposedly showering the young actress with expensive gifts, including a luxury car—allegations Jillian has firmly denied.
In a previous interview with Boy Abunda, Jillian became emotional as she addressed the accusations, stressing that she worked hard for everything she owns and has never even met Singson in person.
Asked why he thinks their names keep getting linked despite never crossing paths, Singson suggested—half-seriously—that meeting each other might finally put an end to the speculation.
“’Yun na nga eh. Pero sana may magpapakilala sa amin para pareho naming i-deny. Para mawala na. Kasi nagde-deny ako, nagde-deny siya, parang naglolokohan lang eh. Kaya kailangan mag-meet kami para pareho naming i-deny,” he explained.
When prompted to send a message to the actress, Singson laughed and jokingly said, “Um, sana nga maging totoo,” a remark clearly delivered in jest, even as he continued to dismiss the rumors as baseless gossip.
This is not the first time Singson has brushed off such claims. In earlier interviews, he described the Jillian Ward issue—as well as past rumors linking him to other actresses—as nothing more than “Marites.”

For her part, Jillian has consistently maintained her stance, emphasizing that she has never spoken to or met Singson and has no personal connection to him whatsoever.
