GMA Network is gearing up for a busy 2026, as it rolls out a lineup of new drama series under GMA Prime and GMA Afternoon Prime, some of which were recently previewed in a teaser released this week.

Among the most anticipated titles is ‘Apoy sa Dugo’, formerly known as ‘Sister’s Game’. The drama stars Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio, and Ashley Ortega. Originally slated for a 2025 release, the series is now expected to air in 2026 and is rumored to replace ‘Cruz vs. Cruz’, which is reportedly ending in January. Industry sources also suggest it could take over one of the afternoon drama slots, potentially following the conclusion of ‘Unica Hija’ reruns.
Another title already in production is ‘House of Lies’, which has begun taping. The cast includes Beauty Gonzalez, Kris Bernal, Martin del Rosario, and Mike Tan. GMA Network has yet to confirm whether the series will air in primetime or in the afternoon block.
Also generating buzz is ‘Never Say Die’, an upcoming action-drama that may be positioned for primetime. The series will star Jillian Ward and David Licauco, and will mark the acting return of Raymart Santiago after a long hiatus from television drama.
Meanwhile, Dingdong Dantes is set to return to acting in ‘The Master Cutter’, another primetime project currently in continuous taping. While its exact airdate has yet to be announced, sources say the production team behind Incognito is also handling this series.
A more melodramatic title, ‘Inagaw Mo, Babawiin Ko!’, has also surfaced in discussions, although details about its cast and timeslot remain under wraps.
On the collaboration front, GMA Network and ABS-CBN Studios are teaming up for ‘The Secrets of Hotel 88’, a mystery family drama set to premiere in early 2026. The series stars former ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemates Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley, and is set in Puerto Galera. The story revolves around hidden passages, long-buried secrets, and intertwined relationships within a hotel.
Another upcoming project is ‘Born to Shine’, which reunites former ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemate Michael Sager and ‘Maka Lovestream’ star Zephanie Dimaranan. The series also features OPM icons and veteran performers Manilyn Reynes, Vina Morales, Tina Paner, Roselle Nava, and Smokey Manaloto, alongside Sparkle artists Gaea Mischa, Olive May, Naya Ambi, Mitzi Josh, and former child actor Migs Cuaderno.
Meanwhile, the fantasy series ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre’ continues to enjoy strong ratings and is reportedly extended on air until April 2026. Afternoon drama ‘Cruz vs. Cruz’ has likewise maintained solid viewership.
With a mix of fresh concepts, star-driven vehicles, and strategic collaborations, GMA Network is positioning its 2026 programming to remain competitive amid the continued rise of streaming platforms and mobile-first content consumption.
