Comedienne Aiai delas Alas revealed that she recently tried to reconnect with her former close friend Kris Aquino, saying she has already moved on from their past falling out and holds no resentment.

During a press conference for her upcoming film ‘Batang Paco’, Aiai shared that she sent a text message to Aquino but has yet to receive a reply.
“Actually, nag-reach out ako sa kanya. Hindi ko alam kung nagbago na siya ng phone number,” Aiai said in an interview with editor Janiz Navida.
Asked whether she has fully healed from their estrangement, the Comedy Queen made it clear that she prefers to leave the past behind.
“Wala na ‘yun. Let’s all move on. Past na ‘yun,” she said.
“Sana okay siya,” she added, referring to Aquino’s ongoing health struggles.
Despite what transpired between them years ago, Aiai emphasized that Aquino remains an important part of her life.
“Si Kris ay naging part ng buhay ko. She’s my friendship. She’ll [always] be my friendship kahit anong mangyari,” she said.
Aiai and Aquino were once among the most recognizable and close-knit friendships in Philippine showbiz, sharing iconic television moments and a bond that many considered more familial than professional. Their falling out—long the subject of speculation in entertainment circles—was widely believed to be rooted in deeply personal issues, though both have largely chosen to keep details private.
During the same press conference, Aiai said she is now focused on herself and her family following her highly publicized separation from her ex-husband. She also thanked netizens for revisiting and celebrating her classic Star Cinema film ‘Ang Tanging Ina’, which has recently enjoyed renewed popularity online.
Her new movie ‘Batang Paco’, produced by MiVida Productions, is set to open in cinemas on February 18. The film stars Empoy Marquez, Mon Confiado, Ynez Veneracion, Chichi Rita, Cassy Lavarias, Richard Quan, Alma Concepcion, Lara Morena, Natasha Ledesma, Kookoo Gonzales, Gerard Acao, Josh Ivan Morales, Kim Rodriguez, Jovi Vargas, and Quentin Molo.
For Aiai, however, the spotlight moment belonged not to promotions or box-office hopes—but to quiet closure.
“She’ll always be my friendship,” she reiterated—leaving the door open, but at peace even if it remains unanswered.
