Streaming platform Viu has officially announced its upcoming romantic series ‘Love, Siargao’, headlined by Alden Richards and Nadine Lustre.
The project will run for 26 episodes and is set to premiere in the second quarter of 2026.

The announcement has generated strong interest, not only for the fresh pairing but also for its potential to boost television and streaming viewership amid the growing competition among platforms.
Meanwhile, fans of Daniel Padilla will have to wait longer, as his series Incognito is reportedly still far from releasing its second season. For now, Padilla remains focused on his charity initiatives, often joined by Kaila Estrada.
‘Love, Siargao’ will stream first on Viu, with expectations that it may later air on GMA Network and eventually become available on Viva One. The series will be shot in Siargao, a location closely associated with Lustre, who owns a beach house there with her partner, Christophe Bariou.
At the same time, another highly anticipated project is gaining traction: ‘Someone Someday’, starring Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid. The romantic drama is being produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and is slated to air on ALLTV, with strong industry speculation that Netflix may eventually pick it up.

Both series mark a notable reshuffling of once-iconic love teams. Bernardo previously formed the hugely popular KathNiel with Padilla, while Reid and Lustre were known as JaDine. Richards, meanwhile, rose to superstardom through the AlDub phenomenon with Maine Mendoza. Notably, Richards and Bernardo previously proved their box-office power with the record-breaking films ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ (2019) and ‘Hello, Love, Again’ (2024).
With JaDine and KathNiel now firmly in the past, the arrival of these new pairings has sparked curiosity over which tandem will resonate more strongly with audiences once both series air later this year.
As the entertainment landscape continues to evolve, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year—one where familiar stars, new pairings, and competing platforms will once again test the ever-changing tastes of Filipino viewers.
