Newly married actress Carla Abellana has made it clear that marriage has not slowed her down professionally, as she publicly signaled her openness to new acting projects shortly after tying the knot.
In a series of Instagram Stories posted on Wednesday, January 21, Abellana addressed possible assumptions that she might be taking time off following her wedding.
“Hello! Just to put it out there, I am not on leave nor will I be on leave anytime soon,” she wrote.
She followed this up with a more direct message to potential collaborators and producers: “I am ready for work anytime. Ehem ehem. Looking and been waiting for work.”
Abellana married her longtime partner, Dr. Reginald Santos, in an intimate ceremony held in Alfonso, Cavite on December 27. Despite the milestone, the actress appears eager to continue her momentum in showbiz.
In a recent interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, Abellana shared that Santos is both her first boyfriend and first love. She recounted how their romance began during their high school years, eventually ended, and then unexpectedly rekindled sometime in 2022 or 2023.
The actress also joked that her current marriage is already set to outlast her first, which she previously revealed lasted only seven weeks.
Even amid wedding celebrations, Abellana has remained visible in the entertainment scene. She recently starred in ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins’, one of the official entries at the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival.
