Actor Dennis Trillo addressed public speculation surrounding his marriage to Jennylyn Mercado following the circulation of a blind item about a supposed “showbiz power couple” facing marital problems.

On Friday afternoon, Dennis took to his Facebook page to issue a clear and heartfelt statement, emphasizing the stability of his family and asking the public to refrain from dragging his loved ones into unfounded rumors.
“Sa mga hindi po nakakakilala sa aking asawa, isa siya sa pinakamabuting tao sa buhay ko. Isang pribilehiyo na ako ang pinili niyang makasama habang buhay,” Dennis wrote.
He also appealed for understanding and respect toward his parents, who are private individuals and not part of the entertainment industry.
“Ang mga magulang ko naman ay may edad na po. Hindi din sila showbiz at tahimik lang sila na namumuhay… wag naman sana sila bigyan ng isyu,” he added.
Dennis stressed that despite their demanding work schedules, his relationship with his wife and family remains strong.
“Mahal na mahal ko po silang lahat at maayos ang samahan namin kahit di man kami madalas nagkakasama dahil sadyang busy ang aming mga schedules,” he said.
Concluding his message, the actor urged the public to shift focus toward kindness and more pressing national concerns.
“2026 na po, magfocus nalang tayo sa pagiging mabuting tao. Madaming problema ang ating bansa na mas kailangan nating pagtuunan ng pansin. Maiksi lang ang buhay, piliin natin maging masaya at mabuti araw araw,” Dennis wrote, ending his post with the hashtag #MagingMabutingTao.
Dennis’ statement follows recent clarifications made by other celebrities who were also dragged into the same blind item, including Marian Rivera and Luis Manzano, both of whom denied having marital issues with their respective spouses.
With Dennis’ public message, netizens have largely ruled out Dennis and Jennylyn as being involved in the rumored troubled relationship. However, speculation continues online as to which celebrity couple the blind item actually refers to.
Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado share a long and well-documented relationship that began in 2010, marked by periods of separation and reconciliation before they eventually married in a civil ceremony in November 2021. The couple later welcomed their daughter, Dylan, and have often spoken publicly about their strong partnership and mutual support despite their busy careers.
