Kapuso actress Kris Bernal directly confronted her former on-screen partner Aljur Abrenica over what she perceived as being ignored, after the two unexpectedly crossed paths backstage at the Kapuso variety show ‘TiktoClock’.

In a video clip released by GMA Network, Bernal was seen openly questioning Abrenica about his lack of response to her messages.
“Hoy, bakit hindi ka nagre-reply sa akin? Sumagot ka, bakit hindi ka nagre-reply sa akin, ha?” Bernal asked, visibly pressing the actor for an explanation.
A seemingly surprised Abrenica replied, “Nagre-reply ako,” prompting Bernal to clarify if she still had his correct contact details.
“That’s still your number? Ayun pa rin ba yung number mo?” she asked, to which Abrenica responded, “Oo, same pa rin.”
Abrenica, who is currently in a relationship with actress AJ Raval, explained his side, saying, “Nirereplyan naman kita, hindi lang nagse-send. Noong nakaraang araw, tinatawagan kita pero hindi mo naman sinasagot.”
Bernal countered that she stopped responding after initially feeling ignored. “E, kasi hindi mo ako sinagot noong una, kaya sabi ko ‘hindi ko na lang siya sasagutin kasi hindi naman niya ako sinasagot,’” she said.
The actress then raised another point that had been bothering her: “Tsaka bakit ka naka-unfollow sa akin, ha?”
Caught off guard, Abrenica jokingly replied, “Huwag mo namang sabihin sa camera.”
The tense exchange eventually softened when Bernal shifted the conversation and congratulated Abrenica on his family life. “Na-miss kita. I’m so happy for you, and congrats sa family life,” she told him.
The reunion sparked nostalgia among fans, many of whom expressed excitement in the comments section of the video. Several netizens recalled the pair’s long history as a love team, with comments noting that their chemistry remains intact despite the years.
Bernal and Abrenica first rose to fame as a tandem after joining Season 4 of ‘StarStruck’ in 2006, where Abrenica emerged as Ultimate Hunk while Bernal, alongside Martin Escudero, was named part of the Ultimate Loveteam. They went on to star together in several Kapuso series, including ‘Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?’, ‘All My Life’, ‘The Last Prince’, ‘Coffee Prince’, and ‘Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko’.
Their brief but candid backstage encounter has since fueled renewed interest among longtime fans of the former AlKris love team.
