Rising actor Andres Muhlach, the son of Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez, candidly revealed that he has never had a girlfriend and is currently single by choice.
In a recent interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, Andres confirmed that he is a certified “NGSB” or “no girlfriend since birth,” explaining that he has deliberately chosen to focus on his career rather than enter a serious relationship.
When asked by host Boy Abunda if he has ever had a girlfriend, Andres replied, “Hindi pa, Tito Boy. That’s my choice naman.”
The young actor shared that the past few years have kept him extremely busy due to back-to-back projects and other professional commitments. Despite this, he clarified that he has experienced courting in the past, even if none progressed into an official relationship.
“In the past, I have naman. I can’t lie and say that I have not,” he said.
Andres officially entered show business in 2024, following in the footsteps of his celebrity parents. He currently stars as Adie in ‘Bagets The Musical’, a role originally portrayed by his father in the iconic 1984 film ‘Bagets’.
Although he remains single, Andres shared that his parents have offered him advice when it comes to relationships, emphasizing that they are supportive but not controlling.
“Yung advice niya sa akin is thoughtfulness,” Andres said of his father’s guidance. “Being able to think of the person that you like without even them having to remind you—yun talaga.”
He added that the most important lesson his parents have taught him is to always stay true to himself.
“Be yourself. You don’t want to be pretending to be someone you’re not. If she likes you for who you are, then yun na yun,” he said.
Andres also revealed that he has yet to bring anyone home to formally introduce to his family. He has a twin sister, Atasha Muhlach, who is also making her own mark in the entertainment industry.
