Actress-singer Kim Molina admitted she was once uncomfortable—and openly jealous—when her fiancé Jerald Napoles starred in the sexy film ‘Kaka’ alongside Sunshine Guimary.

Napoles revealed the tension during the media conference of his upcoming film with Molina, the Philippine adaptation of the South Korean movie ‘Wonderful Nightmare’.
According to Jerald, the issue happened in 2021, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when Kaka was being shot under a lock-in setup.
“Kasama ko si Sunshine Guimary. Taliwas ang pakiramdam ko dahil medyo nag-aaway kami ni Kim noon,” Jerald shared.
He explained that Kim struggled with the film’s concept and his intimate scenes.
“Hindi kasi siya komportable sa premise ng pelikula at sa mga gagawin ko, which is natural naman sa karamihan na girlfriend at boyfriend o mag-asawang artista,” he said. “Siyempre, kapag naka-hotpick ang emotions ni Kim, kahit anong sabihin ko na pagdedepensa sa sarili o pangako, hindi mo basta-basta mapapa-flatten out ’yung emosyon na ’yon.”

Jerald added that the situation became even more difficult because of the pandemic restrictions.
“Habang nagsu-shoot ako, pandemic pa, naka-lock in pa. Naku, lalong kumukulo ’yung tubig sa bahay,” he said. “May ganoong tensiyon habang nagsu-shoot ako ng intimate scenes and everything with the leading lady.”
Molina, for her part, acknowledged her jealousy at the time but said her mindset has since evolved.
“Katulad nung ginawa niya yung Kaka. Dati meron akong, ‘Bakit ganoon? Bakit siya may bed scene?’” Kim admitted.
“Artista yung dyowa mo, e! Hello, huwag ka nang maging choosy. At least, may work kayo.”
She stressed that she is now more understanding of the realities of show business.
“Nagbago na rin po ang pananaw ko when it comes to that. So if ever he would want to do another movie like that, go!” she said.
Molina and Napoles have been together for over a decade, having met in 2014 during rehearsals for the musical ‘Rak of Aegis’ at the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA). Jerald proposed to Kim at the PETA Theater in August 2024.
The couple is set to tie the knot on March 1, 2026, in what they described as a destination wedding, though details remain under wraps.
Joking about how marriage has shifted her perspective, Kim quipped, “Yung pera niya, mapupunta sa akin, ’di ba? So kapag marami siyang pelikula, yung pera niya, akin!”
