Minty Fresh eliminated after ‘Miss Snatch Game’ twist

Another queen has been given the chop.

Filipina drag artist Minty Fresh has officially exited ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs the World’ Season 3 following the revamped Snatch Game episode, titled the “Miss Snatch Game Pageant,” which aired February 11 (PH time).

In the episode, the nine remaining queens were tasked to impersonate famous personalities in a parody pageant format — a staple challenge long considered a make-or-break moment in the franchise.

While other contestants portrayed recognizable figures, Minty opted for an original character: a unicorn described as a “gay icon who is actually straight.” The unconventional concept raised early concern from host RuPaul, who noted that such a layered idea could prove complicated within the structure of the challenge.

On the panel, Minty struggled to build momentum during the banter, with critiques pointing out missed comedic opportunities. Michelle Visage observed that Minty seemed to be “dropping” setups offered during the exchange, resulting in a character the judges felt they “did not fully get to know.”

Despite this, her “Diwata Realness” runway look drew praise for its ethereal presentation and polished makeup.

Thailand’s Gawdland emerged as the episode’s standout after embodying Cardi B, earning her second RuBadge of the season. As the winner, she was granted the power of the “Chippy Tea,” allowing her to save one queen from the bottom three.

Minty, Serena Morena, and Fontana landed in the bottom. Notably, Gawdland had saved Minty in the previous episode. This time, however, she chose to save Serena, leaving Minty to lip-sync against Drag Race Sverige’s Fontana.

The two performed to ‘Angel of My Dreams’ by Jade. Fontana delivered high-energy theatrics, while Minty leaned into emotional vulnerability.

Ultimately, RuPaul chose to save Fontana, instructing Minty to sashay away.

Before exiting, Minty declared: “Can I get a mabu-hey up in here?”

Despite her elimination, RuPaul offered words of affirmation to the Filipina queen: “Minty Fresh, crisp, cool, and destined for global stardom.”

Minty becomes the second contestant eliminated this season, following Melinda Verga. She previously competed on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines’, where she notably survived a historic double save.

She is the second Filipina queen to compete in ‘UK vs the World’, after Marina Summers’ acclaimed run. With Minty’s exit, Zahirah Zapanta remains the sole Filipina contender in the competition.

With two RuBadges, Gawdland currently leads the pack — but as the global competition intensifies, the crown remains anyone’s game.
