After the finale of ‘Sanggang Dikit FR (SDFR)’ last week, GMA Network launched its newest primetime action-drama series ‘Never Say Die (NSD),’ headlined by David Licauco and Jillian Ward.

According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People Ratings, NSD immediately claimed victory in its timeslot, outperforming Kapamilya rival ‘Roja.’
On Monday, February 2, the Kapuso series debuted with 7.1 percent, 3.3 points higher than Roja’s 3.8 percent. However, it is worth noting that NSD’s pilot rating was 1.1 points lower compared to its predecessor SDFR, which premiered at 8.2 percent.
GMA Network proudly celebrated the win on Instagram, thanking loyal Kapuso viewers for tuning in to the series’ world premiere: “Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagtutok sa World Premiere ng #NeverSayDieGMA!”

The pilot episode opened with an action-packed car chase and shootout between drug dealers and the police, which unexpectedly involved investigative journalist Andrew (Licauco) and vlogger Joey (Ward). Caught in the crossfire, the two clashed in heated arguments about their careers, marking their first personal encounter. The episode also featured a fiery confrontation between Andrew and Major Miguel (Raymart Santiago), after Andrew insinuated on irregularities in the police operation.
With its strong debut, the question now is whether Never Say Die can sustain its ratings momentum throughout its run. Catch Never Say Die weeknights at 8:55 PM on GMA Network.
