Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega shared a candid—and humorous—peek into her real-life living arrangement with best friend and housemate Shuvee Etrata, revealing that household cleanliness has been the source of their occasional disagreements.

Appearing on the vodcast Your Honor on Saturday, February 7, Ortega admitted that while she loves Etrata dearly, her friend’s messy habits are real—and have sparked arguments in the past.
“Ako naglilinis ako. Love ko si Shuvee ha, pero tanggap ko na burara siya at makalat siyang tao. Hindi, totoo talaga—doon kami nag-aaway,” Ashley said, laughing.
Ortega recalled that their biggest conflict happened when they were still living in a condo in San Juan, back when both of them were juggling nonstop work commitments following Pinoy Big Brother. With no household help and frequent late-night returns, their once-organized space gradually turned into what she described as a “warehouse.”
“Halos hindi na kami umuuwi roon… tambak na lang ’yung mga gamit,” she shared. “Sabi ko, I can’t have a peaceful moment if uuwi ako ng bahay tapos parang bodega.”
That realization prompted Ortega to suggest moving to a new place. Eventually, the two agreed on a setup that would preserve both peace and friendship: separate floors.
“Sa floor niya, magkalat siya roon ng lahat ng kalat niya. Hindi ko siya papakialaman,” Ashley explained. “Sa living at dining, make sure malinis.”

Despite the teasing, Ortega made it clear that she doesn’t judge Etrata for being messy. She believes their differences stem from upbringing and lifestyle, noting that Etrata grew up in the province with many siblings.
“Okay, I understand na lang. Normal naman ’yun kapag busy ka,” she said. “Pero ngayon, nag-improve na siya. Siguro natuto na rin siya sa akin.”
The story drew laughter from the hosts and viewers alike, resonating with anyone who’s ever navigated adulting—and friendship—under one roof.
