TV host-comedian Vice Ganda drew reactions online after making a playful on-air remark that netizens linked to the viral video involving former senator Cynthia Villar.

During the February 11 episode of ‘It’s Showtime’, Vice quipped, “Ay ume-ere pala tayo sa kanila… joke joke lang ngani,” prompting laughter in the studio.
Social media users were quick to react, with one commenting, “Pasmado talaga bibig ni Vice ‘no,” as clips of the segment circulated online.
The remark surfaced amid the ongoing buzz over Villar’s viral confrontation with security personnel at BF Resort Village in Las Piñas City.
In the widely shared video, Villar was seen arguing with village security staff over newly implemented traffic changes, particularly the installation of “No U-Turn” signage and bollards near her residence.
“Ide-demanda ko kayo!” Villar was heard telling the guards, who calmly responded, “Kalsada ’yan, ma’am.”
At one point, she also said: “Ano’ng kalsada? Eh harap ng bahay ko ‘yan lahat. Bakit ‘yung iba hindi mo nilalagyan?”
Following the incident, Villar released a statement explaining that the situation stemmed from the installation of traffic signs in front of her home without prior consultation or notice.
According to her, the signage was ordered by what she described as the “ILLEGAL BF Resort Village Homeowners Association (HOA) officers.”
“No official documentation or authorization from the legitimate Homeowners’ Association (HOA) was presented to justify the installation of the signage,” Villar said in her statement.
She added that the current HOA board involved had previously been declared illegal by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the Human Settlements Adjudication Commission.
Villar also argued that the new traffic scheme could cause congestion, create safety concerns, and potentially lead to property damage. She emphasized the need for proper consultation with residents regarding issues affecting access, traffic flow, and daily mobility within the community.
While Vice Ganda did not directly mention Villar in his on-air joke, many viewers connected the timing of his remark to the trending controversy.
As of writing, neither Vice nor Villar has issued further comments regarding the online speculation linking the two moments.
