The mother of actor Brent Manalo has broken her silence to defend her son against circulating allegations, calling them false and harmful.
Maria Ellica Manalo took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the issue, expressing her distress over what she described as fabricated claims being spread online about her child.
“As a mother, it breaks my heart to see my son being targeted by false accusations and a completely fabricated narrative. No parent should have to watch their child’s name be dragged through lies,” she wrote.
She also made it clear that her silence should not be misinterpreted.
“But let me be clear, my silence should never be mistaken for weakness,” she added.
The statement came amid online rumors, including claims about Brent’s alleged personal relationships, which gained traction on social media platforms.
Following her post, many netizens showed support for Brent and his family, expressing confidence in the actor’s character and offering words of encouragement.
“We love Brent tita… Napalaki nyo sya ng maayos at mabait na bata because it shows,” one user commented.
Another wrote, “Mas marami pong naniniwala at nagmamahal sa kanya kaysa sa mga naninira.”
Manalo’s mother also emphasized that they are closely monitoring the situation and implied that those responsible for spreading misinformation may be held accountable.
