Kapuso actor Gil Cuerva has spoken out after an alleged private video linked to him circulated on social media.

In a statement posted on Instagram on March 5, the actor clarified that the video was recorded without his knowledge or consent and emphasized that the incident constitutes a serious violation of his privacy.
“Hey everyone. I just want to briefly address the issue that had circulated online over the past few days. This will be the only time I speak about it, and I will not be commenting any further after this.”
Cuerva stressed that the recording of the video happened during a private moment and was done without his permission.
“The video being shared online was recorded without my knowledge or consent during a private moment.”
He also reminded the public that secretly recording and distributing such material is illegal.
“The use of a hidden camera and the distribution of that recording are serious violations of my privacy and constitute a crime.”
Despite the controversy, Cuerva expressed gratitude to those who supported him during the issue.
“Thank you to my friends and family who reached out with support during this time, and thank you to those who spoke up to defend my name.”
The actor ended his statement by assuring followers that he is doing fine despite the situation.
“That’s all that really needs to be said. I’m okay, I’m fine, and life goes on.”
The controversy surfaced after alleged intimate clips involving several Filipino actors began circulating online, though the authenticity of the videos remains unverified.
Cuerva’s former girlfriend, Kapuso actress Lexi Gonzales, also came to his defense on social media, condemning the spread of manipulated or illegal content.
“Spreading false information and manipulated content of someone is punishable by law,” she wrote, adding that attempts to ruin someone’s integrity through such posts are “repulsive.”
As of writing, the actor has indicated that his Instagram statement will be the only comment he will make regarding the issue.
