Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo expressed happiness for his former girlfriend Bea Alonzo, who is reportedly set to marry businessman Vincent Co.

News about the couple’s upcoming wedding surfaced after their wedding banns began circulating on social media. The banns also revealed that the ceremony is expected to take place at St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Paco, Manila.
Based on the published banns, the wedding may happen in the last week of March or the first week of April. As of now, neither Alonzo nor Co has released an official statement confirming the details of the ceremony.
During an interview with ABS-CBN, Marudo was asked about his reaction to the reports regarding his ex-girlfriend’s upcoming marriage.
The actor initially responded in jest.
“Totoo ba? Wala akong imbitasyon eh,” Marudo said.
Despite the playful remark, Marudo said he is genuinely happy for Alonzo.
“Yes, of course, I’m very happy for her. Finally, ‘di ba! Lahat tayo kailangang maging masaya sa mga batch namin. At least ito, unti-unti na kaming nabubuo,” he added.
Marudo and Alonzo were previously in a relationship in the early 2010s. Their romance lasted for about five years before they parted ways in 2016.
Now married to actress and producer Ria Atayde and a father in real life, Marudo said his personal experiences have helped him portray deeper emotions in his acting roles.
“Bilang may asawa at anak, mas nagagawa ko na iyong scenes sa pagiging asawa. Mas lumalim. Mas alam ko na kung tama ba o kulang iyong binibigay kong emosyon,” he shared.
He also admitted that he has become more selective in accepting projects, noting that his priorities have shifted toward his family.
“Iba na iyong mga desisyon ko. Dati, on the spot nagye-yes ako. Marami na akong kino-consider tulad ng location at role,” he said.
Meanwhile, Marudo is set to reunite onscreen with Angelica Panganiban in the upcoming suspense-drama series ‘The Silent Noise.’
The series will premiere on Prime Video on March 20.
