Kapuso star Alden Richards is set to headline the upcoming medical drama ‘Code Gray’, marking a major milestone in his acting career as he takes on his first-ever doctor role.
Joining him in the series are Andrea Torres and Shuvee Etrata, along with a powerhouse supporting cast that includes Faith Da Silva, Kristoffer Martin, Jon Lucas, and veteran actor Christopher de Leon.
The cast announcement was made by Sparkle on social media, generating excitement among fans eager to see Alden in a more mature and serious role.
In an earlier interview with ’24 Oras’, Alden shared his enthusiasm about portraying a doctor for the first time.
“I’ve never done anything like that before sa career ko and it’s gonna be the first again and I’m very excited kasi it’s a very mature role. It’s very serious, excited lang ako dun sa challenges that’s up ahead,” he said.
He also revealed that the series is currently in pre-production, with a story conference expected soon and filming likely to begin منتصف the year.

Beyond ‘Code Gray’, Alden continues to juggle multiple projects. He is also set to star in the collaboration project ‘Love, Siargao’ alongside Nadine Lustre.
At the same time, the actor is preparing for his first triathlon, showing his commitment to both his craft and personal fitness goals.
Reflecting on a recent triathlon relay race in Davao, Alden admitted the physical challenge pushed him to his limits.
“During the last 10 kilometers, gusto ko nang mag-give up eh… But sabi ko, either one, ‘di ko siya tatapusin… or, I would finish it… So syempre, dun tayo sa positive, kaya tinapos natin nang ganun,” he shared.
With its strong ensemble cast and a fresh, high-stakes medical setting, ‘Code Gray’ is shaping up to be one of GMA Prime’s most anticipated series.
