Kapuso star Barbie Forteza and Megastar Sharon Cuneta are set to work together for the first time in the upcoming series ‘Honor Thy Mother’, officially launched on April 14 by Prime Video Philippines.
The family drama series also stars John Estrada and Khalil Ramos, and marks another major collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA Network, produced by Dreamscape Entertainment.
“They are ready to serve drama and make our hearts weep! Meet the star-studded cast of #HonorThyMother, premiering September on Prime Video!” the platform shared in its announcement.
For Forteza, the project is especially meaningful, as she previously revealed that Cuneta was her inspiration for entering showbiz.
“She was the reason why I wanted to become an actress,” Barbie said.
“Dreams do come true. Beyond excited to work with you po, Ms. @reallysharoncuneta,” she added.
Cuneta also expressed her excitement about the project, calling it one of her surprises for the year.
“I promised you a couple of surprises this year-here’s the first! My new drama, ‘HONOR THY MOTHER,’ the first-ever collab between TV Giants ABS-CBN and GMA7, creative production by the one and only @dreamscapeph , brought to you by @primevideo @primevideoph !!!” she wrote.
“Honored and excited to be working soon with the lovely Ms. Barbie Forteza @barbaraforteza , my favorite movie hubby @johnestrada__ , and young heartthrob @khalilramos !” she added.

Ramos also shared his enthusiasm about being part of the series.
“This is my second time with Prime Video. They’ve always championed the Filipino stories and I’m very much excited to be part of Honor Thy Mother,” he said.
‘Honor Thy Mother’ is expected to premiere in September 2026 on Prime Video before potentially airing on television.
