Kapuso actress Katrina Halili remained tight-lipped when asked about the real status of her relationship with ex-partner Kris Lawrence, amid growing speculation about a possible reconciliation.
In a report by Nelson Canlas on ’24 Oras’, Katrina avoided giving a direct answer despite persistent questions about their closeness, especially since the two are frequently seen together.
“Sa balikan po? Wala, secret lang. Secret,” she said.
She added, “Wala tayong sasagutin, bawal daw. Bawal daw po sumagot.”
While she chose not to clarify their relationship status, Katrina expressed happiness over Kris’ active role as a father to their daughter, Katie.
“Happy ako na nakikita ko na nagiging tatay talaga siya, at nararamdaman ko talaga ‘yong pagiging present niya as tatay,” she shared.
The former couple, who separated years ago, have since maintained a co-parenting setup that appears to have strengthened over time.
Speculation about a possible reunion intensified after Katrina and Kris were spotted together in various vlogs and social media content, including their recent pickleball sessions in Bulacan.
They were also seen traveling together to El Nido, Palawan, and previously spent Katrina’s birthday as a blended family with their daughter Katie and Kris’ son, Lyric.
In an earlier vlog, Kris even admitted he is open to the idea of rekindling their relationship—though not anytime soon.
“It’s too far in the future. Anything’s possible siguro… If we’re both single in 10 years, why not?” he said.
Despite the buzz, Katrina appears focused on motherhood and her career. She is set to appear in the upcoming Kapuso series ‘Kamao’, where she plays a mother—a role she deeply relates to.
“Binubuhos ko talaga dito ‘yung pagiging nanay ko… Kahit hindi ka nanay, basta gagawin mo lahat para sa pamilya mo,” she said.
