For nearly a decade, LionhearTV has carried a mission rooted in compassion—one that continues to grow not just in scale, but in purpose.
Now on its ninth year, Lion With A Heart returns to Sitio Pinagbayanan in Paluan, Occidental Mindoro with a deeper commitment: transforming lives not only through immediate aid, but through sustainable solutions.

What began in 2015 as a personal initiative, funded solely by LionhearTV, has since evolved into a collective movement. Over the years, friends, partners, PR agencies, and brands have stepped forward, turning a simple act of giving into a shared advocacy.
Sitio Pinagbayanan remains one of the many remote Mangyan communities where access to basic necessities is still a daily challenge. There is still no electricity line in the area, and while mobile signal has recently reached the community, power remains scarce.
Students continue to face long and difficult journeys to school—walking from 30 minutes to as long as three hours across mountainous terrain. Many still study in makeshift classrooms, reflecting both their determination and the gaps that remain in infrastructure.
Despite these realities, the community continues to show resilience. And for LionhearTV, this is exactly why the mission continues—to respond, in whatever way possible, to needs that persist year after year.
This year marked a major turning point for Lion With A Heart.
For the first time, the team was able to donate two solar power packs worth ₱20,000 each—introducing a sustainable solution to a community that has long lived without electricity. More than just a source of light, these solar packs now serve as a reliable way for residents to charge their mobile phones, stay connected, and support daily activities.
Previously, residents had to travel far just to access limited charging stations, often waiting hours and paying for a small amount of power. With the introduction of these solar units, the community now has access to a more practical and long-term solution.

The impact of portable power was also felt throughout the outreach itself, made possible by the support of Jackery.
With Jackery Solar Generators on hand, the LionhearTV team was able to maximize productivity—from creating content during the five-hour boat ride to sustaining operations throughout the entire program in a no-electricity environment.
More importantly, it enabled one of the most memorable firsts in the outreach: a photobooth experience for the Mangyan community. Hundreds of residents lined up to have their photos taken and printed—many experiencing this for the first time. The generators also powered music and even a portable electric fan, making the entire event more engaging and comfortable despite the remote conditions.

Even after a full day of use, the generators still had remaining power—proving not just reliability, but efficiency in real-world conditions.
Alongside sustainable solutions, the outreach remained grounded in addressing immediate needs. Grocery packs filled with canned goods and noodles were distributed—items that are especially valuable during the rainy season when access to food becomes more difficult.
Used clothing also played a significant role, providing practical support that is often overlooked but deeply appreciated by the community.
While requests for a medical mission continue to be raised by residents, LionhearTV acknowledges that this remains a goal they hope to fulfill in the future, as resources allow.
What makes Lion With A Heart Year 9 even more meaningful is the growing number of individuals and organizations who chose to be part of the mission.
LionhearTV extends its heartfelt gratitude to the following partners and donors who helped make this outreach possible: NYOU Consultancy, EON, SM Supermalls, Kapuso PR, Fuentes Manila, OCI Group, PA Properties, Sirena PR, Jessy&Co, Bridges PR, Jackery, MSL Group, SunLife, Ripple8, Epson, Honor, Alex Calleja, Mae Martinez, Gay Domingo, Insight 360, and Dominguez PR.
Their support not only helped expand the reach of this year’s mission, but also reinforced the idea that meaningful impact is best achieved together.

LionhearTV also extends its sincere appreciation to Michael Diaz for generously lending his boat, making it possible for the team to reach Sitio Pinagbayanan. Access to the community remains one of the biggest logistical challenges, and this support played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the outreach.
As Lion With A Heart approaches its 10th year, the vision becomes clearer—and more ambitious.
From providing more solar packs to help build self-sustaining communities, to organizing long-awaited medical missions, and supporting the construction of proper classrooms, LionhearTV hopes to address not just immediate needs, but long-term gaps.
Because after nearly a decade of showing up, one truth remains: The mission is far from over.
