The Pineapple Capital of the Philippines, Valencia City, Bukidnon will host this year’s Northern Mindanao Regional Innovation Program and Exhibit (NorMinRIPE) 2026.
From April 21 to 22, Valencia City will welcome participants from the various parts of the region for the regional innovation expo with the theme “Building Regional Pathways for Inclusive Innovation,” the event is set with one clear mission: To bring together startups, investors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, and provide the platform for potential partnerships.
NorMinRIPE is a program that translates research and development and technological innovations into tangible outputs to enable economic developments in the region.
Leading this regional innovation expo are government offices from the region namely, the Regional Research, Development, and Innovation Council 10, Department of Economy, Planning, and Development, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, Oro Chamber, and LGU Valencia.
One of its impacts is how it has steadily reshaped communities handling agricultural productivity, managing resources, and developing livelihoods.
NorMinRIPE’s focus extends beyond the agriculture sector in the region. It has touched on the manufacturing sector, health, education, and even the digital enterprise— reflecting the depth of innovation across the region.
Among the activities to look forward to in the innovation meet are the science and technology exhibit and several forums for micro, small, and medium enterprises, farmers and cooperatives, start-up companies, inventors, business sector, and the academe among others.
NorMinRIPE 2026 is one of the many initiatives of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) aimed at providing science-based, innovative, and inclusive solutions across four strategic pillars: human well-being, wealth creation, wealth protection, and sustainability.
