Talent manager and showbiz insider Ogie Diaz has expressed his hope that former Vice President and now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo would consider running again in the 2028 presidential elections.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, April 19, Diaz shared his ‘Leni2028’ sentiment, reaffirming his support for Robredo, whom he previously backed during the ‘Leni-Kiko’ campaign in 2022.
Despite criticisms and online attacks, Diaz emphasized Robredo’s leadership qualities and integrity.
“Inookray ng mga troll na second taker sa bar exams, pero sila mismong naninira, ramdam nilang lawyer talaga na totoong may malasakit, hindi corrupt, maraming konkreto at malinaw na plano para sa bayan at taumbayan si Atty. Leni,” he wrote.
He added, “Patuloy na tumataas sa survey, ibig sabihin, nanganganak na ang bilang ng mga naniniwala sa kanya bukod sa mga solid supporters.”
Diaz further expressed optimism about growing public support.
“Dami nang gising. Dami nang mulat. At di na muling pipikit pa. Ma’am Leni Gerona Robredo! Beke nemen.”
His post was accompanied by a photo of Robredo riding a pink jeepney, bearing the slogan: “Gobyernong tapat ni Leni 2028 Angat Buhay Lahat.”
Despite calls from supporters, Robredo has previously stated that she has no plans to run in the 2028 national elections.
It can be recalled that she ran for president in 2022 alongside Kiko Pangilinan, but lost to the UniTeam tandem of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte.
Meanwhile, Diaz also praised Robredo for receiving international recognition for her leadership, particularly her work in Naga City.
“Grabe! Di na VP yan at Mayor lamang ng Naga City, pero iniimbita sa iba’t ibang bansa para ibida ang pagpapaunlad ng Naga,” Diaz said.
He noted that such invitations reflect continued global recognition of Robredo’s governance and development programs, even after her tenure as Vice President.
