Rumors surrounding Kathryn Bernardo and Mark Alcala continue to generate buzz online, and now actress Ashley Ortega has finally shared her thoughts on the rumored relationship involving her former boyfriend.
During her guest appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, Ashley reacted positively to the speculation linking Mark to Kathryn and even expressed admiration for the Kapamilya star.
“Syempre si Kathryn kasi, I idolize her as an actress. So parang, oh wow, ang swerte naman ni Mark nakakuha siya ng Kathryn Bernardo,” Ashley said.
Rather than showing bitterness, Ashley emphasized that she is genuinely happy for the rumored pair.
“I’m just happy for them kasi it’s been years na rin and finally, nakahanap na siya ng mabuting decent girl. So I’m happy for the both of them,” she added.
Ashley and Mark were previously in a relationship from 2020 to 2022. According to the actress, they no longer communicate after their breakup and have not seen each other since then.
“I don’t think we’re friends anymore kasi ever since nung nag-break kami, we never saw each other na eh,” Ashley shared.
However, she clarified that their breakup was not messy or hostile.
“It was mutual and ayun lang talaga, we just never bump into each other,” she explained.
Ashley also said that if they ever cross paths again in the future, she would still greet him.
“Siguro if dumating ‘yung time na we’re gonna bump into each other, of course I’m gonna say hi.”
The actress previously shared in a 2023 interview that she had already moved on from the heartbreak caused by the breakup.
Ashley is now in a relationship with fellow Kapuso actor-host Mavy Legaspi.
Meanwhile, Kathryn and Mark began being romantically linked in late 2025 after several sightings together surfaced online. The rumored pair recently drew further attention after they were reportedly spotted getting cozy during a trip to Thailand.
