Vice Ganda reiterated support for Leni Robredo during his appearance at the Isarog International Hot Air Balloon and Music Festival 2026, even joking that he would “magpapakalalaki” if she decides to run again for president.

Vice Ganda traveled to Naga City upon the invitation of Robredo, who currently serves as mayor. During the event, Robredo thanked the comedian for quickly agreeing to perform.
“Hindi lang sila lahat taga-Naga. Dumayo sila just for you. Kaya maraming-maraming salamat,” Robredo said.
Responding to the mayor, Vice Ganda expressed his admiration and support, drawing cheers from the crowd.
“Masaya akong naririto. Lahat ng panawagan n’yo sa amin didinggin namin. Sana dinggin mo rin ang panawagan namin,” he said.
He went on to highlight the hope he sees in Naga under Robredo’s leadership.
“Naga is the heart. You are our heart. You are our hope. We need you to continue hoping for a wonderful future not just for our families but for the entire Philippines.”
Vice Ganda also made an emotional appeal, noting the contrast between the optimism in Naga and the challenges faced in other parts of the country.
“Sana lahat tayo, sana buong Pilipinas, ganyan araw-araw. Hindi madali ang buhay, may kahirapan pero malaking bahagi ng mga puso natin ‘yung gaan at saya. Yung puso na walang takot at pangamba. Yung pusong punung-puno ng pag-asa dahil alam natin na tayong lahat ay pinamumunuan ng isang mabuting puso rin,” he said.
While maintaining a light tone, the comedian made a direct plea for Robredo to reconsider her earlier stance on not seeking national office in 2028.

“We love you, Ma’am Leni. And magkita po tayo ulit sa campaign n’yo. Huwag kang ma-pressure. Next year pa tayo mag-aannounce. For now, i-enjoy muna ni Madam Leni ang Naga,” he said.
He then added humor to his appeal: “Pero pagkatapos no’n, beke nemen. Promise po, magpapakalalaki ako tumakbo ka lang ulit! Charot lang.”
Robredo has previously stated that she has no plans to run for a national post in the 2028 elections. Despite this, several public figures continue to urge her to reconsider, citing strong public support.
