A new television project starring former couple John Lloyd Cruz and Ellen Adarna has become the latest topic of discussion among fans and entertainment observers.

The buzz began after comedian Bayani Agbayani revealed that he had been invited by Cruz to join an upcoming sitcom that the actor is reportedly helping produce. According to Bayani, the project will reunite Cruz and Adarna onscreen, with fellow comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto also joining the cast.
In an interview with PEP, Bayani shared that Cruz personally informed him about the project and expressed his desire to work with him and Quinto.
“Sa pagkakasabi sa akin ni Lloydie, sure na. Si Lloydie kasi ang line producer. Matagal ko nang kaibigan si Lloydie,” Bayani said.
He also praised the actor’s professionalism and generosity, recalling how the production team repeatedly thanked Cruz for his support and involvement in the project.

The sitcom marks the first major reunion project between Cruz and Adarna in years, reigniting public interest in their relationship history. The two were previously in a high-profile romance and share a son together before eventually going their separate ways.
The announcement comes amid recent speculation surrounding Cruz’s relationship with Isabel Santos after the latter posted a series of cryptic messages on social media before deactivating her Instagram account. The timing of the sitcom announcement has prompted some netizens to wonder whether the reunion project could lead to renewed closeness between Cruz and Adarna.
Adding fuel to the speculation, the former couple was spotted earlier this year in a gathering with GMA executives, including GMA Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia. At the time, rumors already began circulating that a project involving the two stars was in the works.
Despite the online chatter, neither Cruz nor Adarna has addressed rumors linking their professional reunion to their personal lives.
