After months of speculation surrounding their relationship, Ryan Bang has finally confirmed that he and his non-showbiz fiancée, Paola Huyong, have ended their engagement.
Bang made the revelation during his guest appearance on Vice Ganda’s YouTube vlog uploaded on June 6, where he shared that he has been single since January.
“Yes, I’m single [since January],” Ryan said when asked about his relationship status.
The television host admitted that he did everything he could to save the relationship.
“Tinry ko na ayusin. Kasi alam ko noong panahon na ‘yon, hindi ko maintindihan, hindi dapat umabot nang ganito. I was trying I was hoping, I was praying na maayos,” he said.
Ryan also addressed rumors that infidelity caused their breakup, firmly denying the allegations.
“Siyempre sa relationship, mayroon din akong kasalanan. Pero I never cheat. Hindi totoo ‘yun. Kahit hindi ngayon, even before, I never cheat. Hindi ako gano’n. Serious din ako sa relationship. But, siyempre, meron din akong kakulangan,” he explained.
According to Ryan, one of the major factors that led to their separation was their differences in culture and outlook on marriage.
“We found out magkaiba pala kami ng kultura,” he said. “Magkaiba pala ang paniniwala, gawi, thinking, lalo na pagdating sa marriage.”
He revealed that both his family and Paola’s family initially wanted them to work things out, but eventually realized that the differences between them were too significant to ignore.
Despite the breakup, Ryan spoke warmly about Paola’s family and expressed gratitude for how they treated him throughout their relationship.
“Siyempre, grateful pa rin ako kasi sobrang bait n’ung pamilya. Hanggang ngayon, lalo na ‘yung magulang niya,” he said.
The breakup, Ryan admitted, became one of the most difficult experiences of his life.
“Sobrang hirap. Sobrang pagsisisi. In my whole life, ‘yon ‘yong pinaka-dark and hardest time in my life and ‘yong experience ko na ‘yon, pinakamabigat sa puso. Ang hirap din sa akin kasi kung ano-ano iniisip ng ibang tao,” he shared.
He added that he chose not to publicly address the cheating accusations because he knew they were false.
“’Yong maling akala, hindi ko sinasagot kasi, hayaan mo na ano iniisip nila basta alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi ganoon,” Ryan said.
Ryan and Paola began dating in 2023 and announced their engagement in June 2024. Rumors of a breakup first surfaced in October 2025 after netizens noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on social media.
