Star Magic actress Sue Ramirez headlined the Star Magic Press Conference held on June 6, 2026, at the Dolphy Theatre, ABS-CBN. The versatile star opened up about her latest film, Project Baby, and the profound impact the project has had on her journey towards her growth as a woman.
In bringing this story to life, Sue highlighted the incredible collaborative experience on set, sharing her immense admiration for her co-star, Rico Blanco, whose background as a musician beautifully enhanced their creative dynamic.
“I love Rico, he is such a kind person, he has such a good heart, and he’s so so talented, and I have no doubts with his acting. He’s a singer, and singers, as well all know, madali sa kanila magconvey ng mensahe, because that’s what they do, they connect through their music, and that’s what acting is, you connect with your audience as well,” the actress happily shared. “He has that power to connect to an audience, and that’s basically what you need in acting.”
Because of her role in Project Baby, the actress gained a deeper understanding of the weight and responsibility of motherhood, noting that entering this stage of life requires immense preparation and alignment: “Hindi bara-bara yung desisyon na magkababy. Ang haba ng preparation na kailangan mong gawin. You really have to secure yung bata, una sa lahat, and to prioritize someone and to give your all to someone na galing sa’yo. Siguro it’s best if you find a partner that is on the same page, someone who wants it with you,” she admitted.
Ultimately, Sue shared a vital, hard-hitting core message for the audience, particularly for women. She believes that while women have the freedom to make their own choices, a strong female-led support system remains a powerful catalyst for growth: “Women can make their choices, but we still need people around us. It doesn’t have to be a romantic partner, it could be our mom, it could be our best friend, but definitely we need someone. And we need a woman who empowers us. Kahit isa lang na may mageempower sa’yo na babae, ang lakas ng effect nun sa’yo. It really lasts.”
This realization renewed her admiration for the absolute strength of women, emphasizing the divine capability to give life and the beautiful challenge of raising a good human being: “At the end of the day, women are so powerful. We give life, literally. God has given us that power na makapagbigay at makapagproduce ng bata o ng tao, and how do we take care of that power? How do we take care of that child? Ano yung mga values na iinstill natin sa kanya? Hindi siya basta-basta… Laging kailangan matapang ka kapag gusto mo magkaanak, kasi hindi na lang sarili mo yung iniisip mo, meron ka nang mini me na kailangan mong palakihin ng mas better sa pagpapalaki sa’yo.”
With her exceptional acting skills and more mature outlook on life, Sue Ramirez continues to showcase her excellence in the industry.
