After nearly three decades in the entertainment industry, Anne Curtis says she has learned one of the most important lessons of her career: balance.

The actress and television host looked back on her 29-year journey during her Thanksgiving press conference held on June 18 at Greyhound Café in Makati.
Curtis began her career in 1997 through the fantasy film ‘Magic Kingdom: Ang Alamat ng Damortis’ before signing with Viva and later joining GMA Network’s popular youth-oriented show ‘T.G.I.S.’
Today, she remains one of the country’s busiest and most sought-after stars.
Asked how she would define her career at this stage, Curtis said she now approaches work with a more relaxed mindset.
“Gusto kong sabihin na mas relax. Pero hindi rin siya relax in terms of schedule. I think mayroon siyang feeling of, ‘you’re not here to compete,’” she said.
“Parang medyo mas relax ka na, mas kampante ka na and I think one thing that I super learned as well is proper time management na hindi ko ginagawa dati.”
“So ngayon is really about the work is like balance.”
As a mother to six-year-old Dahlia, Curtis said family now plays a major role in how she schedules her commitments.
“Right now bilang nasa school naman na siya, all the vacations revolve around school vacations,” she shared.
“Ang number one golden rule namin, basta school vacation, no work.”
Nearly 30 years after her debut, Curtis continues to thrive by prioritizing both career and family while embracing a healthier work-life balance.
