Bimby Aquino has revealed how he plans to spend his first paycheck as a working adult, choosing to give back before spending on himself.
In a video shared by a fan page, Bimby was seen lining up to receive his first salary. After signing the payroll, he excitedly marked the milestone by saying: “I’m claiming my first adult sweldo!”
When asked who he planned to treat first using his earnings, the young television personality answered without hesitation: “My mom, of course.”
Bimby also shared that he and his mother, Kris Aquino, had already agreed on how his first paycheck would be allocated.
“And ang promise ni Mama, to our priest, Father Jun, or Bishop now ata. So we’re going to donate half of it muna.”
The gesture reflects the family’s commitment to giving back, with half of Bimby’s first salary set to be donated to the Church before using the remainder to treat his mother.
The aspiring host also couldn’t hide his excitement after discovering that his salary was given in cash.
“Wow, it’s cash. I like cash!”
Bimby has recently been gaining attention following his guest-hosting stint on Eat Bulaga, where viewers praised his confidence, natural hosting skills, and on-screen chemistry with Ryzza Mae Dizon.
Their partnership has also sparked nostalgia among fans who remembered the two first appearing together as child stars in the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘My Little Bossings’, which starred Kris Aquino and Vic Sotto.
In late June, Kris Aquino made a rare public appearance by visiting the ‘Eat Bulaga’ studio to support her son’s latest career milestone. She was later joined by Bimby, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Miles Ocampo, and Ryzza’s mother for a post-show dinner.
The latest video also prompted an outpouring of praise from netizens, many of whom commended Kris for the values she instilled in her son despite her ongoing battle with multiple autoimmune diseases.
Earlier this year, Kris also clarified that while she fully supports Bimby’s decision to enter show business, she has no plans to personally manage his career, saying she prefers to remain simply his mother while leaving professional decisions to his management team.
