Now officially part of Star Magic, Lovi Poe says she would gladly reunite with Coco Martin should the opportunity arise, recalling her time on ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ as one of the most memorable experiences of her career.

During the ‘With Love, Lovi’ media conference introducing her as the newest Star Magic artist, the actress shared that she remains touched whenever fans call her by the name of her former character, Mokang.
“Honestly, isa sa pinaka-ikinasasaya ko at ikinatutuwa ko is wherever I go, tinatawag pa rin nila akong Mokang. And when they scream ‘Mokang,’ talagang it makes me go back to the time na ‘yun when we were filming ‘Batang Quiapo.'”
Lovi said she enjoyed every moment working on the action-drama series, particularly her scenes with Martin.
“I really had the best time. I enjoyed every single moment with Coco as well. I love the character, I love Tanggol and Coco. Of course, I would love to work with him. I can never say never, ‘di ba? I hope we get to work again together for sure.”
Her pairing with Martin’s Tanggol became one of the show’s most talked-about storylines in 2024, making Mokang’s eventual exit from the series an emotional moment for many viewers.
Aside from expressing interest in another project with Martin, Lovi also revealed that she hopes to collaborate with other Star Magic artists, including Kathryn Bernardo, Belle Mariano, Gerald Anderson, and Jericho Rosales.
The actress also shared two dream projects she hopes to pursue in the future—appearing in a remake or adaptation of one of her late father Fernando Poe Jr.’s classic works and starring in a drama similar to ‘Saan Ka Man Naroroon’, a series headlined by one of her childhood idols, Claudine Barretto.
Supporting Lovi throughout this new chapter is her husband, Monty Blencowe, whom she described as one of her biggest sources of strength.
“I’m extremely blessed to have the best support system behind me. He’s been travelling back and forth kung nasaan ako, and my daughter also.”
Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi welcomed Lovi through a special video message during the launch, describing the actress as someone who represents “excellence.”

According to Dyogi, Lovi has established herself not only as an accomplished actress but also as a singer, performer, producer, and storyteller. He also acknowledged her commitment to honoring the legacy of her father, the late screen legend Fernando Poe Jr.
