The Palawan Group of Companies proudly joined the celebration of the Baragatan sa Palawan Festival 2026, highlighting its deep connection to the province where its story began over 40 years ago. As one of Palawan’s most anticipated annual events, Baragatan celebrates the province’s culture, heritage, and unity, making it a meaningful occasion for the company to honor the community that has supported its growth from a single branch in Puerto Princesa into one of the country’s leading financial service providers.

Pikoy, the official mascot of the Palawan Group of Companies, inspired by the endemic blue-naped parrot of Palawan, brought color and energy to the Baragatan Festival’s float parade

Among the highlights of the company’s participation in this year’s Baragatan Festival were its participation in the Parada ng mga Palaweño and the Float Parade, where it joined communities from across the province to honor Palawan’s history, culture, and traditions. Through its presence in these festivities, the company celebrated the spirit of togetherness that defines the province while supporting initiatives that preserve local heritage and encourage greater appreciation for the unique identity of the Palaweño people.

Throughout the festival, the Palawan Group engaged with residents and visitors through its interactive booth, offering games, prizes, giveaways, and information about its products and services, including Palawan Pawnshop, Palawan Express Pera Padala, Palawan Gold, and PalawanPay. The activities provided an opportunity for the company to connect directly with customers while highlighting its commitment to delivering accessible, reliable, and affordable financial services.

As festivities unfolded in the Baragatan Festival, Palawan Group took part in major parade events, celebrating alongside the people of Palawan.

“Palawan is not only where our business began. It is where we learned the value of trust, resilience, and service to the community. The support of Palaweños has shaped who we are today, and we remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside the province that we proudly call home,” said Karlo M. Castro, President and CEO of Palawan Group of Companies.

Today, the Palawan Group continues to expand its reach across the country while remaining committed to promoting financial inclusion and creating economic opportunities for more Filipinos. Through its growing network and digital innovations, the company strives to provide practical financial solutions that help individuals, families, and communities achieve their goals.

Representatives of the Palawan Group of Companies present the winners of Mutya ng Palawan 2026 with PalawanPay credits, ProtekTODO microinsurance, and Palawan Gold as part of the company’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating local excellence.

To make the celebrations even more festive, the Palawan Group gave special awards to the winners of Mutya ng Palawan 2026 in the form of PalawanPay Credits and ProtekTODO microinsurance, while the Grand Winner took home a 1-gram Palawan Gold coin.

Palawan Group joins the Baragatan Festival, expressing gratitude to its home province while continuing to serve Filipinos nationwide.

As it celebrates another Baragatan Festival with the people of Palawan, the company expresses its appreciation for the province it proudly calls home. While its presence now extends nationwide, the company remains rooted in the values and community spirit that shaped its beginnings, continuing its mission to serve Filipinos with trust, accessibility, and care.
