The Grand Ballroom of Dusit Thani Manila became a meeting place for some of the country’s leading names in advertising, marketing, public relations, and business as the Strategic Asia Marketing Alliance (SAMA) officially introduced its Philippine chapter. Carrying the theme “Sama-Sama, Halo-Halo,” the launch celebrated the power of collaboration and the growing opportunities for Filipino agencies to expand beyond the local market.

The program opened with an atmosphere of excitement as industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and communication professionals gathered to witness the alliance’s official debut. More than a launch ceremony, the event served as a platform for meaningful conversations about the future of Southeast Asia’s marketing landscape and the role Filipino creativity can play in shaping it.

Leading the discussions was SAMA Philippines Country President Enya Reyes, who shared the organization’s vision of building a stronger regional network where independent agencies can collaborate, exchange expertise, and access new business opportunities across Southeast Asia. She emphasized that the alliance was created to empower agencies of all sizes, allowing them to compete on a regional level without the limitations often faced by smaller firms.

Joining her on stage, Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) President Donald Lim highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). He explained that many local businesses have the talent and innovative ideas needed to succeed internationally but often lack access to affordable regional networks. Through SAMA, these businesses can now connect with trusted partners in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore, making cross-border collaboration more accessible than ever before.
One of the afternoon’s highlights was the recognition of the alliance’s eight pioneering founding agencies in the Philippines. Their formal introduction symbolized a shared commitment to strengthening the country’s marketing industry while opening new doors for brands looking to establish a presence across Southeast Asia. The moment reflected the event’s central message—that meaningful growth begins when organizations choose to work together instead of working alone.
Networking sessions that followed kept the conversations flowing as agency executives, entrepreneurs, and business leaders exchanged ideas, explored potential partnerships, and discussed the evolving needs of brands in an increasingly connected region. The event became more than an announcement; it evolved into a space where relationships were built, and future collaborations began taking shape.

Throughout the program, speakers reinforced that SAMA is not simply another industry organization. Instead, it is a collaborative ecosystem designed to bridge local expertise with regional opportunities, allowing Filipino agencies to participate in larger campaigns while helping businesses confidently expand into neighboring Southeast Asian markets.
As the event drew to a close, one message stood out above all others: collaboration is becoming one of the most valuable assets in today’s business landscape. With the successful launch of SAMA Philippines, local agencies and MSMEs now have access to a wider regional network that encourages innovation, partnership, and shared success.

The launch marked more than the arrival of a new alliance—it signaled a promising new chapter where Filipino creativity, entrepreneurship, and marketing expertise can thrive alongside the rest of Southeast Asia through the spirit of “Sama-Sama, Halo-Halo.” (with reports from Aldrine Benitez)
