Anne Curtis has reassured fans that she is doing well after online discussions raised concerns about her health, particularly over what some netizens described as an apparent lump on her neck.
The Kapamilya actress and ‘It’s Showtime’ host addressed the matter during an interview following her contract signing as the newest ambassador of ZION Group on Saturday, August 15.
While Curtis acknowledged the concern, she politely declined to discuss details about what she described as a private matter.
“It’s not something I’d like to talk about. I’d like to keep everything that I’m going through privately. But for anyone who has any concern about me, just know that I’m okay,” she said.
Curtis instead emphasized the importance of paying attention to one’s body and undergoing regular medical checkups, something she said she has been doing since her 30s.
“Everything is doing well. I think it’s very, very important that you listen to your body. If there’s anything that I would like to share with anyone, it’s when you reach a certain age, do those executive checkups. Invest in health,” she said.
“I get checkups naman yearly. I think it’s important… Sinasabi nila na hintayin mo pang mag-40 ka pa, but I started as early in my 30s, especially hindi mo naman masabi…” she added.
Curtis said her focus on health and wellness was also among the reasons she accepted her latest endorsement.
The actress has been tapped as an ambassador for three ZION Group brands—ZION Wellness, ZLEEP AI and ZYLO AI—with the partnership focusing on wellness, sleep, recovery and fitness.
“You know, I think this couldn’t come at a better time in life and age when it’s really time to embrace our wellness journey,” Curtis said.
“The one thing why it’s easy for me to say yes to Zion is because of the devices and the innovation that they have; you can do it in the comfort of your own home,” she added.
Curtis cited products and technologies such as red light therapy, cold plunge therapy and sauna solutions, as well as ZLEEP AI, which offers smart-bed technology designed to monitor aspects of sleep and wellness.
“It’s really an investment, yes it is. But you know, health is priceless,” she stressed.
ZION Wellness offers products geared toward relaxation and recovery, including massage chairs, cold plunge therapy, red light therapy and sauna solutions.
ZLEEP AI, meanwhile, focuses on sleep through its AI-powered smart bed, while ZYLO AI is positioned as an AI-powered home gym offering more than 200 exercises.
According to ZION Group founder and CEO Mary Chua, Curtis was chosen to help communicate the company’s message of balance and holistic well-being.
Beyond her latest endorsement, Curtis is also preparing for several major acting projects.
She is set to headline the Netflix Original series ‘BuyBust: The Undesirables,’ while three movie projects are also in the pipeline.
Rather than publicly discussing the personal matter, the actress chose to use the opportunity to remind others to prioritize preventive care and regular health screenings.
“Do those executive checkups. Invest in health,” Curtis said.
