After making its mark on radio and podcast platforms, “Barangay Love Stories” is expanding to television with its upcoming TV adaptation on GMA beginning this September.
Longtime radio and podcast host Papa Dudut will lead the television version of the popular radio drama anthology, bringing stories inspired by the real-life experiences and relationships of Filipinos to a wider audience.
“Barangay Love Stories” has built a strong following through the years with its relatable tales of love, heartbreak, family and relationships.
Beyond its success on radio, the program has also emerged as one of the country’s most-followed podcasts, amassing more than 1.7 million followers.
Its digital success earned another milestone last year when “Barangay Love Stories” received a Spotify Creator Milestone Award after surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify Philippines.
The upcoming GMA adaptation marks a new chapter for the long-running program as its signature stories make the transition from audio to television.
“Barangay Love Stories,” led by Papa Dudut, is set to premiere on GMA this September.
