Bea Alonzo isn’t shy about being the more romantic one in her marriage to businessman Vincent Co.
More than a month after tying the knot, the Kapuso actress candidly revealed that she was the first to say “I love you” in their relationship—and that she is also the clingier one between them.
Alonzo made the revelations during the launch of the new Head & Shoulders Complete Scalp Care range at Whitespace Manila, where she gamely answered personal questions about her relationship and married life.
Asked whether she was the first to confess her love to Co, Alonzo readily admitted that she was.
“Yes. Pero sinagot niya ako agad. As a lover girl, hopeless romantic,” she said.
The actress also admitted that she is more affectionate than her husband, explaining that they have different ways of expressing love.
“Alam mo, buti wala siya rito. Yes, I’m more clingy. Magkaiba kasi kami ng love language,” Alonzo shared.
“Siya, acts of service and quality time, at ako naman physical touch and words of affirmation,” she added.
After years of having her relationships play out under intense public scrutiny, Alonzo now appears to be embracing a quieter chapter of her personal life.
The actress said she has been enjoying what she calls her “wife era,” particularly the comfort of knowing that someone is waiting for her at home regardless of how hectic her day becomes.
“I’m happy with my ‘Wife Era.’ I look forward to going home to see him. No matter how chaotic the world is, I know that there’s someone waiting for me at home,” Alonzo said.
“I’m enjoying this chapter of my life.”
Alonzo and Co were married in an intimate civil ceremony on July 13, 2026, at Makati City Hall, with Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay officiating the wedding.
The Head & Shoulders event also marked the first time the newlyweds were publicly seen attending an event together following their marriage.
Aside from sharing glimpses of her newlywed life, Alonzo attended the event in her capacity as a long-time Head & Shoulders brand ambassador.
The brand introduced its Complete Scalp Care range, featuring three products targeting common scalp concerns: Oil Control Shampoo, Itch Defense Shampoo, and the Anti-dandruff + Itch Spray Leave-On Treatment.
The Oil Control Shampoo contains 1.7% Salicylic Acid and Piroctone Olamine, a formulation designed to address excess scalp oil and dandruff.
Board-certified dermatologist and P&G Dermatology Council member Dr. Bea Chan explained during a panel discussion that excess scalp oil can contribute to dandruff because it serves as a primary food source for Malassezia, a naturally occurring fungus associated with dandruff.
“By removing excess oil, you gain another defense against dandruff while ensuring your scalp remains fresh and breathable,” Chan explained.
Alonzo, meanwhile, shared how the products fit into a lifestyle that frequently requires heavy hairstyling for shoots and appearances.
