Home design is no longer simply about choosing beautiful furniture or following the latest interior trend. Increasingly, homeowners are looking for spaces that reflect their personalities, support their routines, and make everyday life more comfortable.

That idea shaped Curated Spaces: Home and Lifestyle Fair at Evia Lifestyle Center, where design enthusiasts, homeowners, and lifestyle shoppers were given an opportunity to explore different interpretations of contemporary living.

The event opened with INQ Talks: “Beyond Beautiful Spaces: Designing Homes Around the Way We Live,” putting the spotlight on the relationship between interior design and the people who inhabit a space.

The discussion featured Ar. Ian Fulgar, IDr. Joy Ejercito of BERN, IDr. Migs Alcid of Novus Prime Residence, IDr. Doris Dy of Siena, and IDr. Chat Fores of Escana. Rather than focusing solely on aesthetics, the panel explored how homes can be designed around actual lifestyles, needs, experiences, and personal stories.

One of the recurring ideas throughout the discussion was the importance of creating a sense of place. A home, the speakers emphasized, can carry elements of its owner’s culture, memories, and personality instead of looking like a space taken directly from a showroom.

The panel also touched on making smarter investments within the home. Certain areas and design elements may require more attention because of how frequently they are used, while thoughtful planning can make a space more functional without sacrificing its visual appeal.

The conversation offered a practical perspective for homeowners who may be considering renovations or planning their future spaces. Design choices, after all, can influence productivity, comfort, movement, and the way families interact with one another.

Following the INQ Talks, the fair officially opened through a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives of Crown Asia, Brittany, and Villar City, with Manny Villar also present for the occasion.

The opening gave guests the chance to move from the discussion into an actual visual and sensory experience. Across the fair, four specially designed spaces inspired by Brittany and Crown Asia presented different approaches to modern home living.

The installations demonstrated how interiors can be shaped around different lifestyles, with curated furnishings, design details, and lifestyle brands working together to create spaces that feel lived-in rather than merely displayed.

For guests walking through the exhibition, the experience provided an opportunity to pause and imagine how similar ideas could translate into their own homes. Details that might otherwise seem purely decorative were presented within complete spaces, allowing visitors to see how individual pieces and design choices work together.

By bringing together industry voices, property developers, curated brands, and immersive home concepts, the fair created a space where design could be viewed not just as an aesthetic pursuit but as part of everyday living.
