Samsung brought the latest addition to its Galaxy S26 family into focus during the Galaxy Spotlight Media Preview at Ayala Triangle Gardens Tower 2 in Makati City, giving members of the media a closer look at the new Galaxy S26 FE and the features Samsung has developed around everyday photography, content creation, artificial intelligence, entertainment, and productivity.
At the center of the preview was the Galaxy S26 FE, which Samsung positions as a thinner and lighter way to experience key Galaxy features. It is also the first model in the Galaxy S26 lineup to launch with One UI 9, bringing together the latest Galaxy AI experiences with an enhanced camera system and other upgrades intended to make everyday smartphone use more seamless.

The device reflects a shift in how smartphones are increasingly used—not simply for calls and messages, but as cameras, editing tools, entertainment screens, and personal assistants. Samsung’s latest FE model brings those functions together in a device designed around what the company identifies as the features users value most.
One of the key areas highlighted for the Galaxy S26 FE is its camera system.
The smartphone features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP wide camera with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front is a 12MP camera designed to capture a wider field of view for selfies and group shots.
Samsung has also brought My FanCam to the Galaxy S26 FE. Previously introduced on the latest Galaxy foldables, the feature automatically tracks a selected person and keeps that subject centered while recording video.
That capability is particularly geared toward situations where the subject is constantly moving. Instead of requiring users to manually keep adjusting the frame, My FanCam handles the reframing as the scene changes, allowing users to concentrate more on the moment itself.
For moving subjects and fast-paced scenes, Super Steady with Horizontal Lock is also included, helping users record smoother and more level footage.
The phone retains Nightography, Samsung’s camera technology for low-light photography, while the 3x optical zoom gives users another option when the subject is farther away.
The camera experience does not stop when the shutter is pressed.
Samsung has incorporated Photo Assist, allowing users to make changes to images through natural-language prompts. The company says users can make edits such as changing the appearance of a scene, adding elements, or restoring missing portions of an image. Edits can also be reviewed and revised along the way.
The Galaxy S26 FE also supports Gemini Omni for creating and editing video clips using photos and videos already stored in the Gallery.

Together, these features position the smartphone as more than a device for recording memories. They give users tools to continue working with their content after it has been captured, from individual photos to videos intended for sharing.
Artificial intelligence remains another major part of Samsung’s latest Galaxy experience.
The Galaxy S26 FE runs on One UI 9 and includes context-aware Galaxy AI features intended to make everyday routines more organized and personalized.
Among them is an updated Now Brief, which Samsung says can provide personalized briefing cards covering information such as weather and wellness insights. Users can also create their own cards through simple prompts, allowing the briefing to be adjusted according to their needs.

Now Nudge has also been expanded to select third-party apps and notifications, with the feature designed to surface relevant suggestions at appropriate moments.
Meanwhile, Circle to Search with Google has been updated to allow users to search for multiple items within an image at the same time. The feature can be used to identify products, places, objects, and other visual information through a single search experience.
Rather than presenting AI as an isolated feature, Samsung has integrated these functions into areas where users already spend time on their phones.
The Galaxy S26 FE also places emphasis on the viewing experience.
The device features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and brightness reaching up to 1,900 nits.
The larger display is designed for activities ranging from streaming and gaming to browsing and creative work.

It is paired with a 4,900mAh battery, giving the device the capacity Samsung says is intended to keep users connected throughout the day. The Galaxy S26 FE supports up to 45W wired charging, with Samsung stating that it can reach up to 69% charge in around 30 minutes when used with a 45W adapter.
The 45W adapter is sold separately.
Samsung is also addressing what happens after the initial purchase.
The Galaxy S26 FE supports up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the global launch date. Samsung Care+ is also available for the device, while the updated Warranty and Care Settings Hub is intended to make it easier for users to access and manage device-care services.
For people moving from another device, Samsung has also upgraded Smart Switch. Users can transfer data wirelessly through a QR code, with supported information including passwords and passkeys, call history, accessibility settings, and eSIM data, depending on the applicable device and transfer requirements.
The phone also comes with a six-month free trial of Google AI Pro for eligible users, including expanded AI capabilities and 5TB of cloud storage, subject to the applicable terms.
The Galaxy S26 FE is available in Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio, with color availability subject to market or carrier. It measures 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4mm and weighs 193 grams.
In the Philippines, the device is priced at ₱46,990 for the 128GB variant, ₱53,990 for 256GB, and ₱67,990 for 512GB.
Samsung is offering introductory discounts until November 30, including ₱7,000 off the 512GB model and ₱5,000 off the 256GB model, according to the supplied product announcement. The announcement also states that select bank partners offer financing of up to 36 months, while eligible customers can receive up to ₱6,000 in guaranteed savings through trade-in.
Its camera system is designed to cover everything from wide group shots and distant subjects to moving video. Its editing tools extend the creative process beyond the initial capture, while Galaxy AI introduces functions aimed at organizing information and simplifying everyday tasks.

At the same time, the 6.7-inch display, 4,900mAh battery, 45W charging support, and long-term software commitment address the practical side of owning a smartphone.
With the Galaxy S26 FE, Samsung is carrying the Galaxy S experience into its latest FE model while placing particular emphasis on the features that users interact with most often: capturing moments, creating content, staying informed, and keeping connected.
The media preview at Ayala Triangle Gardens Tower 2 offered a first-hand setting for that message, putting the Galaxy S26 FE at the center of Samsung’s latest push to make its premium mobile experiences more accessible without losing sight of everyday usability. (with reports from Lau Balocos)
