Yeng Constantino clarified that her husband, Victor “Yan” Asuncion, is not jealous of the renewed attention surrounding her past “almost” romance with ‘It’s Showtime’ host Ryan Bang.

During an interview at the media conference for ‘The Voice Kids,’ Yeng was asked about Yan’s reaction after her past with Ryan once again became a topic among fans.
“Sana nga nagseselos eh,” Yeng joked.
She explained that her husband understands her well and knew that her interaction with Ryan was simply playful.
“Hindi niya kasi personality. Talagang ano siya, very understanding. Kilalang-kilala kasi ako ng asawa ko. Alam niya ‘yung pagkanta ko kay Ryan ay nangungulit lamang ako. Actually, mas nakaka-empathize nga siya kay Ryan kaysa sa akin,” she said.
Yeng added that while Yan and Ryan are not close friends, she hopes the three of them could eventually spend time together.
Interest in Yeng and Ryan’s past was revived during her ‘Biyaheng Bente: 20th Anniversary Concert’ on August 28, when she sang to the Korean host and revisited their history.
Yeng previously revealed that she had a big crush on Ryan during the early years of their careers but was hurt when he suddenly stopped pursuing her.

Ryan later explained that he thought Yeng was not interested in him. He also admitted that he felt “financially incapable” of courting someone at the time.
Yeng has since apologized to Ryan over their misunderstanding, an apology she said he accepted.
Ryan later became emotional during an episode of ‘It’s Showtime’ while looking back on his experience at Yeng’s concert.
The renewed interest in their story has generated “kilig” among some fans, but Yeng’s comments make clear that their recent interaction was a lighthearted look back at a chapter from their younger years.
Meanwhile, Yeng is joining GMA Network’s ‘The Voice Kids’ as one of its new judges alongside Gloc-9 and returning judge Julie Anne San Jose.
The new season of ‘The Voice Kids’ premieres on GMA Network on September 13.
