Just one day after announcing their engagement, former Viva Hot Babes member Zara Lopez and content creator Simon Javier surprised their followers with another milestone: they are now married.
Zara confirmed the wedding on social media by updating her Facebook profile photo with a wedding picture of herself and Simon.
“No more co-parenting… just got married,” she wrote.
The announcement came shortly after Zara revealed that Simon had proposed during what was supposed to be her birthday celebration.
On September 17, Zara shared an Instagram Reel capturing the proposal, where Simon was seen getting down on one knee and presenting her with an engagement ring.
“Finally! Thank you, Lord! Fiancée na ako ni Simon. Future wife. The real deal,” Zara wrote.
The marriage marks another chapter in a relationship that has gone through separation, co-parenting, and eventual reconciliation. Zara and Simon share a daughter, Sapphire.
Looking back at their history, Zara jokingly compared their relationship to a long-running television drama.
“Bro, this isn’t a love story anymore… this is a whole teleserye with 7 seasons and a reunion special,” she said.
She also indicated that she had seen changes in Simon before accepting his proposal.
“Pero sige… after all that character development, YES,” she added.
Among those who witnessed the proposal was SexBomb Girls member Jopay Paguia, who became emotional during the surprise.
Zara also addressed those who had previously questioned whether her renewed relationship with Simon was merely for social media content.
“Sa lahat ng nagsabing ‘content lang ’yan,’ ‘maghihiwalay din ’yan,’ at ‘hindi ’yan magtatagal’… ito na siguro yung update na ayaw n’yong makita,” she said.
Simon, meanwhile, has credited healing, forgiveness, and their faith as important parts of their reconciliation.
For Zara, their journey eventually leading to marriage reflected her faith in what she described as God’s plan.
“God really writes the best love stories. God’s plan ito so praise Jesus!” she said.
