Juby Sabino of the P-pop girl group Baby Dolls has sparked mixed reactions online after sharing a suggestive dream involving actor Donny Pangilinan during the group’s guest appearance on ‘Gandang Gabi Vice.’

The revelation came during the October 18 episode of the comedy talk show, when host Vice Ganda asked the members about their celebrity crushes while discussing the lyrics of their song ‘Oohh Lala Baby.’ What began as a playful exchange soon became a subject of debate on social media, with some viewers amused by Juby’s candidness and others questioning whether the conversation crossed the line into sexual objectification.
During the segment, Vice Ganda teased the group about the person they had in mind while performing their song’s signature dance moves.
“Pero ang tanong, para kanino ba talaga ang ‘giling-giling n’yo?’” the host asked.
Baby Dolls member Jelai Ahamil named Darren Espanto, while Juby revealed that her answer was Donny Pangilinan.
“Para lang kay Donny ang giling-giling ko,” Juby sang, adapting the song’s lyrics.
She then explained that she had not initially considered Pangilinan a major celebrity crush until she had an unexpected dream about him.
“Hindi ko kasi siya talaga crush na crush. Tapos, on a random night, napanaginipan ko siya, Meme. Kinekeme niya ako,” Juby shared.
Her response prompted laughter from Vice Ganda and the other guests.
The host then jokingly asked, “Natapos?”
“Opo,” Juby replied, drawing more laughter.
A clip of the exchange subsequently circulated online, attracting both humorous and critical reactions.
Some viewers found Juby’s unfiltered storytelling entertaining. Others appreciated the group’s openness about their celebrity crushes, describing the exchange as spontaneous comedy. However, several viewers expressed discomfort over the sexual nature of the remarks, particularly because Pangilinan was identified by name during a nationally televised program.
On X, some users argued that publicly discussing an intimate fantasy about a real person raises questions about consent, respect, and boundaries, regardless of the person’s gender. The same user also criticized Vice Ganda for laughing along rather than redirecting the conversation. Another user, questioned whether the exchange would have received the same reaction if a male guest had made similar remarks about a female celebrity. These reactions reflect the opinions of individual social media users and do not establish how Pangilinan himself felt about the exchange.
We strongly condemn the sexualization of any individual. We express our disappointment over the recent issue involving Showtime Baby Doll’s Juby and Donny Pangilinan, particularly the sexualized nature of the public discussion surrounding him.
Being a public figure does not justify compromising one’s dignity and personal boundaries. We call for greater sensitivity and respect when discussing others.
We stand with Donny. Respect is non-negotiable.
RESPECT DONNY PANGILINAN

While much of the discussion centered on Juby’s remarks, some viewers also questioned Vice Ganda’s response as the show’s host. Critics argued that the comedian could have kept the exchange lighthearted without asking a follow-up question that further emphasized the dream’s sexual implications. Others viewed the interaction as typical of the show’s spontaneous, adult-oriented humor and considered the backlash excessive. The debate has consequently expanded beyond Juby’s original revelation to broader questions about celebrity boundaries, gender-based double standards, and what constitutes acceptable humor on television.
As of October 19, Juby, Vice Ganda, and Pangilinan had not publicly addressed the criticism in the information available.
