Marian Rivera believes that embracing unfamiliar opportunities and having the courage to try something new have helped her sustain a career spanning television, film, entrepreneurship and digital media.

In an exclusive interview with LionhearTV during Nuwhite’s Glow For 200: Season 2 – Glow Beyond Beauty event, the Kapuso Primetime Queen reflected on the importance of remaining open to unexpected opportunities.

“Siguro, ‘di ako natakot sumubok ng mga iba’t-ibang bagay lalo na siguro kung yung mga offer ay ‘di mo masyadong inaasahan pero siguro ang maganda is try lang nang try,” Marian told LionhearTV.

“Alam mo ‘yun, walang masamang sumubok sa mga bago at ‘yun ang pinakamagandang part don eh, sa pagsubok mo ‘di mo malalaman kung ano ‘yung compatible sa’yo.”

Rivera also discussed her nearly five-year relationship with Nuwhite, emphasizing that their shared advocacy goes beyond promoting physical appearance.

During the media question-and-answer portion, she credited Nuwhite founder and CEO Maureen Estrada for maintaining transparency about the company’s direction.

“Ako kasi 5 years, hindi biro ang 5 years ah. Dun sa 5 years na ‘yon ang maganda kasi kay Ms. Maureen is very transparent sila sa mga gusto nilang mangyare at maachieve,” she shared.

“’Di lang siguro gusto mo maging maganda, maging maputi, or maging makinis ang ganda kasi ng layunin nila which is yung sinabi ni Ms. Maureen which is ‘yung values namin parehas ito ay makapagbigay inspirasyon lalo na sa mga kababaihan.”

For Marian, confidence begins with self-love, which she believes can positively influence how people treat others.

“Kasi kung mas mahal mo ang sarili mo, maeextend mo ‘yan sa ibang tao so kung lahat ng tao ganun ang gagawin natin parang ang daming love sa mundo so parang mas masayang mabuhay pag maraming pag mamahal.”

Marian shared these insights as Nuwhite launched Glow For 200: Season 2 – Glow Beyond Beauty on September 22 at the Enderun Tent in Taguig City.

The year-long initiative brings together 200 aspiring content creators selected from more than 1,200 registrations across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Participants will undergo development sessions covering personal branding, content creation, livestreaming, affiliate growth, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, alongside mentorship and collaboration opportunities.

The program is supported by industry personalities and established creators, including representatives from TikTok Philippines, Chinkee Tan, Ingrid Nieto, Maxene Magalona, Richard Thaddeus, Anne Clutz, Hana Beshie and Dr. Bea Chan.

Estrada said the initiative aims to help aspiring influencers establish sustainable careers while encouraging greater responsibility within the creator community.

“Our ambition is bigger than helping 200 creators succeed. We want Glow For 200 to contribute to a more responsible, credible, and sustainable creator industry—one where influence is treated as a responsibility, credibility is valued as much as reach, and creators are equipped to turn their talent into meaningful and lasting careers,” she explained.
