Rep. Lito Atienza shared how his son was pointed gun on his face by a Laguna police
TV personality Kim Atienza has figured in a gun-toting incident involving Laguna police.
In an article by the Inquirer Bandera, Kuya Kim’s father Buhay Partylist Representative Lito Atienza said his son together with his cycling group were victimized by an arrogant policeman who pointed gun at them.
The elder Atienza shared how Kuya Kim and 3 others were gun toted.
According to the older Atienza, Kim and his group of cyclist were biking in a highway in Laguna about two weeks ago when suddenly a policeman apprehended them and pointed gun on their faces.
“My son Kim, and his group. They were just cycling and exercising along the highways of Laguna, biglang may umovertake na kotse, galit na galit. Binabaan sila tinutukan ng baril sa mukha lahat,” said Rep. Atienza.
Lito Atienza added that the police might have been provoked when Kim and his group overtook the car on the road causing the driver to be pissed off.
“Sabi daw sa kanila, ang yayabang nyo ah kaya nagulat sila Kim and they found out na police colonel sa Laguna. Natakot ang mga kasamahan ni Kim,” Atienza shared.
Aside from being a television host and weather news presenter, Kuya Kim is also known as a triathlete.
Rep. Atienza can’t help but relate the incident to the spate of killings in the country. While he’s still thankful because nothing serious happened to Kuya Kim and his group, he can’t help but be worried of what might have happened.
He added, what if the police fired on them and planted them with drugs to link it with the war on drugs, which is rampant now a days. They will be killed and added to the statistics of killed in the name of war on drugs.
“Sakaling binaril sila Kim, lalagyan lang sila dun ng droga, a sachet of shabu and say they are all drug suspect,” he said.
