Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion recently started teaming up. Their successful McDonald’s television commercial guarantee a series of projects. Even after they broke up as real and onscreen partners, films starring Sharon and Gabby will still be a huge hit to their fans.
Rumors also suggest that a lunch meeting occurred between the two parties about their upcoming projects together. However, according to Sharon herself, they didn’t have lunch with network executives. She also revealed that they both remain open for future collaborations.
Meanwhile, Gabby still has a television contract under GMA Network. However, Sharon only has a contract per show under ABS-CBN Corporation.
According to an article from PEP.ph, Sharon and Gabby went on a meeting with Star Cinema head, Malou Santos. The said meeting turned out to be about their much-anticipated reunion movie. This will be their first film together after twenty-six years. Tayong Dalawa became their last film back in 1992.
Star Cinema has been planning the reunion movie for Sharon and Gabby since 2012. However, they had to shelve it due to Gabby’s busy schedule. In an official statement from Therese Ramos, Gabby’s agent, he had always wanted to do a movie with former love team and onscreen partner, Sharon.
