As expected, the delayed TV coverage of the boxing match between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Oscar “Golden Boy” de la Hoya, dubbed as The Dream Match, topped the daytime race yesterday, December 8. The one-sided match, which was won by Pacquiao and was shown in GMA-7, generated a whopping 45.6 percent rating.
Placing second is GMA-7 showbiz talk show Showbiz Central with 17.1 percent; followed by the movies Enteng Kabisote 4 (16.5 percent) and Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo (14.3 percent)—which ABS-CBN pitted against the Pacquiao-De la Hoya match.
Completing the Top 5 is Kay Susan Tayo with 11.2 percent.
In the primetime race, Richard Gomez’s game-show Family Feud: Celebrity Edition grabbed the lead with 29 percent.
Occupying the second to fifth place are the following Kapuso shows: Mel & Joey (27.2 percent), Kap’s Amazing Stories (25.9 percent), All Star K (24.4 percent), and Ful Haus (23.1 percent).
The bottom half, on the other hand, were occupied by the following ABS-CBN shows: Rated K (21.3 percent), The Singing Bee (19.2 percent), Sharon (15.3 percent), Goin’ Bulilit (13.9 percent), and TV Patrol World (13.1 percent).
Eat Bulaga! once again topped the daytime race last Saturday, December 6, with 22.7 percent. It was followed by Pinoy Records (20.5 percent), Wish Ko Lang (18.1 percent), Wowowee (15.5 percent), and Komiks Presents Tony Tony (14.8 percent) to complete the Top 5.
The primetime race was ruled by Bitoy’s Funniest Videos with 34.3 percent, closely followed by Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho with 34 percent.
Coming in third was Imbestigador with 27 percent; followed by Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5? (24.9 percent), and Maalaala Mo Kaya (19.9 percent) featuring the reunion of Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa.
Luna Mystika maintains its position as the No. 1 weekday primetime show by topping the race from December 3 to 5. The rest of the Top 5 were consistently held by fellow Kapuso shows La Lola, Gagambino, 24 Oras, and Survivor Philippines.
GMA-7’s Koreanovela My Husband’s Woman ended its run last December 4, Thursday, at No. 6 with 27.8 percent.
Consistently holding the No. 1 spot in the daytime race is Eat Bulaga!; followed by Una Kang Naging Akin, Saan Darating ang Umaga?, Daisy Siete, and Wowowee.
