OpenAir Cinema One, the much-awaited outdoor movie event this summer, brings the blockbuster reunion of Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla in “Unexpectedly Yours” and the comeback of heroes in “Power Rangers” at The Fields, Nuvali this April 28 (Saturday).
Two generations of love teams are to spice up the screening in “Unexpectedly Yours,” with Robin and the Megastar and the breakout tandem of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto. In the film, former high school sweethearts Patty (Sharon) and Cocoy (Robin) unexpectedly bump into each other 30 years later not only as organizers of their high school reunion, but also as neighbors. Patty and Yanni (Julia)’s quiet lives awaken when Cocoy and his romantic of a nephew, Jason (Joshua), comes knocking on their door.
In “Power Rangers,” iconic suits of color return as five ordinary teens discover themselves having superhuman abilities after finding coins of power. To save the world from a strong alien threat, the group must overcome their real-life issues and rise together as Power Rangers. The film stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Bill Hader, Bryan Cranston, and Elizabeth Banks.
Aside from fun romance and sci-fi action, great music makes this summer’s OpenAir Cinema One the perfect outdoor gathering for families and friends.
Rising singer Claudia Barretto and One Music artist Volts Vallejo add a youthful flavor to the event with their all-out song performances, while alternative rock band Itchyworms turns up to rock out the night, with DJ Jai-Ho to host the entertaining outdoor event.
